Architect

Doug Danks joined the RSI staff as Senior Architect in September 2018. In his primary role, Doug will provide design, review and forensic analysis of building enclosure systems related to exterior wall construction and glazing systems.

Doug joined the RSI staff after 21 years in private practice, where his firm was architect of record on projects regionally and nationally. His portfolio of built work includes a broad range of project types varying from residential construction to commercial construction; new construction to remodeling and historic restoration projects; and wood framed to steel moment frame and post-tensioned concrete construction. His work has received regional and national design awards.

Prior to starting his private practice, Doug worked at HGA and VJAA in the metro area. In addition to his position at RSI, Doug is also a part-time adjunct faculty member at Minneapolis College. Outside of his professional work, Doug is currently chair of his community’s Planning Commission and serves on advisory boards for Minneapolis College and other organizations.
